Due to my sickness this year Christmas basically took place on our couch where M. surprised me with loads of great things that I really didn’t expect. He bought me “One yard wonders” that will keep me busy for quite a while and a lovely book with 200 stickers for craft projects. So lovely.

But the most fabulous gift of all (and they were ALL supercool) was my Daruma. He read here on my site that I wanted one and got it from somewhere :-) Tonight is the night were my little red friend will get his eye painted so that my wish will come true.

I stopped counting the hours that I’ve worked on this blanket but I finished it yesterday and I really think it turned out great. It has its flaws and it’s not perfect but my niece will love it anyway. :-)

It’s almost done. Quilting took way more time than I thought it would.

AFTER I cut the edges  and realized that the copy in the Dick & Jane block in the 5th row will be half covered by the binding.  #!$!# argh. This bothers me now.

For the next quilt I’ll be so much more prepared and alert…
