so here are my impressions of my second craft show of last weekend. it was a 2-day event, from 11am – 6pm. saturday it was crowded as hell, visitors were standing in a long line in front of the hall at 10:30 am already. i was scared when i saw them. second thing that scared me was the very small stand that i had. the stands were made of 4 piled wooden pallets and i was happy i had a fence in the back where i could hang all my baby clothes. after all i was ok with the size of the stand because the table always looked full.

in addition to the stand i had a postcard rack on which i hung more baby clothes.
of course martin was with me :-) patiently sitting there watching the stand when i had to leave for a second.
the hall was divided into two areas. the one area we called “t-shirt hell” because they only sold t-shirts. in all colors and sizes. but only shirts (ok… and some shoes and pants as well but mostly shirts). the other half was reserved for dawanda sellers. very nice because this part was very creative and unique. dawanda itself had a long table where visitors could create their own brooches or charms with little colorful plastic pearls. women and men sat there and crafted all day long. so cool.
since we all had such small stands the range of different crafts and items was big. i had very nice neighbors i must say!
and outside they had a skating area where the guys showed off their skills. while you sat there and drank and ate a little something you could watch the stunts.
oh… and that was the womens restroom decoration…. :-)
overall it was very positive event and i was not as excited and nervous as the first time 4 weeks ago. i sold a lot of things and was proud of myself i must admit. after two days i was deeply satisfied with the results and decided to open a dawanda shop in addition to my etsy shop. it’s so wonderful to be part of this crafty nation i don’t want to miss anything. this is what i want to do! that’s my life. i love it.
