Serendipity of the day
This day started good. I woke up – being in a fabulous mood (kinda rare for me). The radio played a song that made me dance while brushing my teeth (Mariah’s Heartbreaker). And then on my way to work my serendipitous ways led me to this:
Someone left a book at a random place and lucky me found it. These are the tiny things in life that totally rock my world!
The plastic bag says “I’m a special book. I wasn’t forgotten here nor lost nor disposed but I was set free on purpose to find a new reader. You can find more info on www.bookcrossers.de (or .com) where you can track my path. Please take me with you, read me, leave a note of my whereabout on the mentioned URL and set me free again!” (in German though)
What an excitement! The book is sweet and called “Little reading for a settled Capricorn”. If the title was “for a … Leo” I’d gone NUTS. :-) Yay!

i create the content of this blog with great care and lots of effort. if you find something on happy serendipity and write about it please mention it as the source and credit it on your blog, website, or in the pages of your publication. a link back is always appreciated. thank you!

Hi Lou,
this bookcrossers thing sounds really interesting, never heard of it before. I´ll have to look into it…
Have a lovely, sunny weekend!
.-= Kerstin´s last blog ..Fisher Price #2 =-.
Bookcrossing is great, it was a great fad in Warsaw (Poland, where I live) a few years ago. I think it’s a brilliant idea to link people, ideas and reading this way.
.-= Gosia´s last blog ..At work =-.
So you´re a Leo too !?
I love the idea of bookcrossing, it´s the first time I heard of this, will now keep my eyes open for books waiting to be discovered!
Have a lovely Sunday

I personally heard of bookcrossing many years ago but totally forgot about it. it’s a sweet idea though.
julie, you can check online where you can “find” books. there is a section where people who set free a book tell where they left it and maybe you’re quick enough to find it.
will check my shelf this week and see what i can hide in my city. so much fun!
