Amy Butler Organic Bedding

Being a huge fan of Amy Butler I was not really surprised when I received the newsletter this morning with the information she’s now selling organic bedding . I mean… fabrics, bags, towels, paper, tableware, rugs. She’s got it all and she’s fabulous! Her first set of bedding was already wonderful though not organic. She is really keeping up with the latest fashion and meets the demand of people who want to help saving the environment.

Some years ago when I started being interested in sewing Amy was the first fabric designer I got to know, the first who made me realize that there are actually people designing patterns for fabric. It may sound weird but back in the days I had no idea and from day one I loved her patterns. The designs were totally my style, useful for every kind of project but what really amazed me were the colors. So vibrant and bright. The quality of her fabrics is superb and it’s always a joy working with the materials.

Her organic bedding includes 3 collections. A blue – Dream Daisy & Dream Poppy, a green – Dancing Garden & Dancing Paisley, and a pink – Sari Blooms & Full Bloom Paisley. My favorites are the blue and the green one and they are so flashing I can’t stop looking!

The details amaze me. You can see how much work was put in the development and how carefully the pattern were chosen. Just brilliant.

The pink/red version is lovely, too just I wouldn’t want such a red overflow in my home :-)

I really have to find a way to get hold of a duvet cover or at least some pillow covers. It’s just too beautiful and I imagine it would look pretty in our all white bedroom. Let’s see. The range is available by June at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Check out Amy Butler’s website to see more pictures.

And by the way… did you know Amy offers LOTS of free patterns? Quilts, yoga bags… but paper gift tags or flowers as well. Just adorable.

I wish I will meet her in person one day. She’s really one talented woman that inspires me a lot and who makes me want to sew better so I can make more great projects from her fabric. She’s my rockstar!

Yes blue is the BEST.
And I must grin a bit Piper as that’s exactly how I function. Put it “out there” and it will happen. You understand me so well! :-)

There are many wonderful things around just waiting for someone to find them, and these are some of them. I am always looking around online for nice bedding sets to put in bedrooms and these really give a nice touch of color whenever they are. The fact that they are organic makes them all the more appealing.

Hi

I love the organic beddings. I have bought over 300 meters of Amy’s fabrics and want all my sheets and bed covers to look like Amys.

Amy’s fabrics inspired me to start a new business making beddings. I have 30 metres of temple doors and i am looking for ideas on what kind of beddings to transform them to
