my etsy list of favorites is my favorite place to shop. whenever i need a treat, or a gift for someone, or just need a break and some eye candy to relax i go there and always find something i love. there’s no need to buy something – just being there is just plain awesome. here are my recent favorites.

sonntag beim schnick schnack shopping habe ich katrin kennen gelernt. ohrringe von ihr habe ich seit ewiger zeit schon auf einem meiner wunschzettel und als wir dann direkt den stand nebeneinander hatten, habe ich mir meine heiß ersehnten rotkehlchen geschnappt und sie zum meinem neuen lieblings-frühlings-accessoire erklärt.

ganz verliebt bin ich in die und könnte mich in ihrem shop verlieren.

last weekend at the craft fair i’ve met katrin. a pair of her earrings were on my wishlist and since we had a stand right next to each other i finally got my pair of  redbreasts. they are just adorable and will be my favorite spring accessory. check out her shop to see more adorable little birds and creatures.

iswas + willbe is a young couple from portland who’s shop i recently discovered on etsy. i was very intrigued by their jewelry, the clear forms and the natural colors. then i read their interview which created lots of admiration for their work. they are very inspired by nature and infuse both of their interests into their pieces. telle loves “antiques, the humanities, and life’s idiosyncrasies” which represent ISWAS; rex contributes “his love for biological processes, space travel, and natural history” as WILLBE. a very interesting concept and it’s such a great way to work together. what i loved the most in the interview? this here:

i take my hat off to their beautiful work and their positive attitude towards nature, the handmade and crafts. many of us sellers could take a leaf out of their book and i wish more buyers would understand that, too!

ich wollte doch noch erzählen wie’s auf der stijl war. * toll * kann ich nur sagen. ich hatte mal wieder einen kleinen stand den ich diesmal richtig vollgepackt habe und mein antiker postkarten ständer wurde zum taschen-regal umfunktioniert. das war an sich ganz praktisch. ein paar kinder shirts und bodies waren als wand deko auch dabei (auf der stijl sind nicht so viele mamas).

am ende des wochenendes war ich quasi ausverkauft, weshalb ich auch am montag erst mal die läden schließen musste. es ist schon ein unterschied offline zu verkaufen. die leute fassen gerne an, sie drehen und wenden die produkte und ich berate dann auch sehr gerne. es macht riesig spaß. wirklich. mein kleines herz ist ganz glücklich über die situation und jetzt bin ich schon wieder fleißig am nähen und knipsen und texten, so dass nächste woche die shops wieder eröffnen können. es gibt schöne neue kleinigkeiten.

die schachteln liebe waren heiß begehrt. valentins tag steht vor der tür und da kamen die ganz gut an :-)

* die tasche von dem jungen herrn fand ich großartig. nebenan in der t-shirt-siebdruck-hölle gab es auch wieder jutebeutel in allen formen und farben. *annabatterie war auch wieder mit dabei und hatte ein ganz entzückendes caffe aufgebaut. * die kollegen von nice design hatten auch großartige sachen mit. es ist toll wenn man sich sachen die man auf der dawanda wunschliste hat auch mal live angucken kann. * mainz ist um eine getränke-sensation reicher. ailaike (ich konnte den bescheuerten namen kaum fassen) ist bio und fair gehandelt (find ich gut!), schmeckt allerdings so langweilig wie durchgeweichter kinderzwieback. nicht mein ding. aber die flaschenlabel sind schön. das war auch ausschlaggebend für den kauf :-)

der nächste markt ist am 11.3. in darmstadt und da muss ich mich ranhalten, dass ich überhaupt was auf den tisch bekomme. demnach wird am wochenende genäht, genäht, genäht. freu ich mich drauf. aber erst mal gibts happy hour und einen gin tonic heute abend. und stand-up comedy. was macht ihr denn so?
